Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Website 2011
For the 6th year in a row, Bluetube Interactive has handled the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra website build. Bluetube Interactive handled Information Architecture, production design, HTML cutup, and build in .NET on Sitecore for the 2011 website. Design concepts were handled by Sametz, who also handles the Atlanta Symphony's print designs.
The new site builds on the previous implementation we've done on Sitecore and with the Woodruff's Enterprise Shopping Cart Platform. The new site features media rich pages with heavy AJAX for interactivity. Additionally the site leverages significant Sitecore data usage, encouraging the user to link to related information about artists, events, and performances seemlessly. The site leverages a shared high availability Sitecore implementation, featuring multiple servers across a load balancer.
A significant new feature is a customizable social media feed component, This allows the ASO to leverage Sitecore data, Facebook wall posts, and Twitter feeds as news throughout the site, truly mixing web content with social media.
